About me
I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic models. I trained at the Spectrum centre for humanistic psychology in London.

My background is in nursing and also fine art.
On qualifying I worked for 5 years in a London primary school for the children’s charity Place2Be, which is a leading national children’s mental health charity. There I completed further training in play therapy, and clinical supervision.
Currently I am working for the Gloucestershire charity Ticplus, which offers online and face to face counselling for young people and their families.
I remain open and curious, and continue to study and explore new ideas – recently equine facilitated workshops I’ve attended have proved fascinating.
I offer individual sessions to adults, young people and children.
Why therapy
Therapy provides a space where we can talk about what really matters to us, our beliefs, thoughts and feelings. I provide a warm, thoughtful and attentive presence,  which enables a client to feel safe and speak openly.
The key areas where many people have difficulties are relationships with others, dealing with difficult situations or traumatic events, and having an understanding of themselves, who they are, what they want from life.
What I enjoy about being a therapist is seeing people learning to understand and accept themselves, and developing the courage to make the changes they want in order to be happier.
Therapy can be challenging, funny, serious and ultimately life-affirming.
Working together
My style is interactive and with children I use play, art materials and stories in my therapeutic work..
Our first session will also act as a two way assessment meeting to see if we feel comfortable working together, at this stage there’s no commitment to continue.
We can choose to work for a set number of sessions to focus on a particular concern or the agreement can be open-ended.
From my life experiences I am particularly interested in working with creativity, relationships, bereavement, parenting, and how we hold emotions physically.
