About me
I work with adults
I am a therapeutic writing practitioner, specialising in using writing and narratives to support wellbeing. If you enjoy words, this medium can accelerate healing in a trauma informed, nurturing space. I have experience in a wide variety of settings, such as bereavement, cancer care, new parenthood, disability, addiction recovery, and with professionals looking to return to work after a break.
Sometimes clients wish to use the sessions to process thoughts and feelings; others are working towards a body of creative work in response to life experiences, or a topic of interest.
I offer a free 30-minute conversation to discuss your needs, with no obligation to book sessions.
For ten years I was Director of Studies for the MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes at Metanoia Institute, developing the field. I have a doctorate in Creative and Critical Writing with Cardiff University; my study focused on grief narratives.
I also supervise creative and therapeutic practitioners in their practice, and trained with Bath Centre for Supervision and Training.

I have written several book chapters and journal papers on therapeutic writing:
